Web Front-End Engineer

Linkstorm is seeking a Web Front-End Engineer with JavaScript, ActionScript, HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS skills to write high-quality code for our technology, which will be deployed across the web. The ideal candidate is a savvy, high-speed, high-quality developer looking to face interesting challenges along side a great team. To qualify an applicant must love writing remarkable JavaScript and HTML/CSS by hand, and be up on all the latest trends in web GUI technology.

Responsibilities

  • Write cross-browser JavaScript applications;
  • Write patentable Flash applications;
  • Work on cutting-edge Web2.0 (AJAX, Flex, DHTML, etc.) development projects;
  • Resolve issues in large-scale, multi-site deployments;
  • Develop re-usable product and support product usage;
  • Enjoy tight collaboration with our senior team, while driving own efforts; and,
  • Interact with client and agency technology staff.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • 3+ years professional experience with JavaScript (or more advanced languages);
  • 2+ years professional experience with ActionScript;
  • 2+ years professional experience with HTML, XHTML, DHTML, and CSS;
  • Solid understanding of web site development processes, site structure and back-end technologies;
  • Knowledge of web servers and code development; and,
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills.

Non-Required/Plus Skills

  • Photoshop image manipulation;
  • Experience working on multi-developer projects using source repositories; and,
  • SEO/SEM experience

Work Location

On-site in our Manhattan office, located in the Flatiron District.
